File extinction with newly copied items
When you copy a file item in BLOON, if the underlying file is not synced to your machine beforehand, the copy of the item will have an extinct underlying file from the start. It cannot directly obtain the file from its sources, i.e. others' machines. It will thus only contain metadata (notes, comments, tags, etc.). To ensure that the copy of the item also contains the underlying file, sync the underlying file to your machine before copying the item.
If the underlying file is not synced to your machine, that means that the bloon where it's located is not set to sync unconditionally, nor have you manually opted to sync the file; or you have deleted the local copy of the file, after which the item would only exist as a BLOON stub in Finder or Explorer.
